We all love this character and uniquely as Johnny Depp creates all his characters...we particularly LOVE THIS ONE. Johnny modeled this persona after a ROCK BAND guitarist, ROLLING STONES Keith Richards. Johnny felt that PIRATES today would be the ROCK BAND STARS. Similar 'look' and wild free flowing way they embrace the stage and music and fans. He modeled how Jack Sparrow spoke from Keith too. Disney though he was 'drunk' but, no...just how JOHNNY invented the persoality of this character. WE LOVE HIM...
